How to be healthy or seven simple rules of healthy life

This article is aimed at people who want to be healthy and learn the secrets of the major health, conservation and prevention of diseases for many years.

What is included in the very concept of HEALTH? If you have no pain, and you rarely feel fatigue then suddenly feel a heavy heart or a rash or alike... It means that your body is telling about your problems. To keep the feeling of energy and health it is important to follow a few simple rules:

Rule number one - if you want to preserve the health, listen to yourself. Very often people can have high pain threshold or have organs that lack pain receptors - This means that you may not know about the disease that is developing without any symptoms and shows itself at a late stage, when coping with it very difficult.

Rule number two - regular health screening:

  • Once a year if you are 30

  • Twice a year, if you are up to 50

  • Four times a year, if you are over 50 years old.

You think that you are healthy and you go to the gym thinking about strengthening your body. Fitness classes, without knowing the exact state of health, are dangerous. Energy spent on boosting your physique that should have been spent by your body on combating the illness that you may not be aware of. Do not hurt yourself!

A few examples from my own practice:

Example 1

A young man, 27 years old, came to the diagnosis with small complaints of recurrent back pain. He regularly went to the gym and trained on various simulators, including the weights. Screening uncovered Pyelonephritis - Inflammation of the lumbar and renal pelvis. I warned him that his complex exercises must change in order to treat his kidneys urgently, as this disease is very serious. He went to the doctor to check the kidneys and ignored the situation with the spine (there was no immediate pain). After 3 weeks, his GP has confirmed his kidney problems. Over this time, protein in the urine appeared and the back suddenly developed acute pain. The lumbar illness aggravation. He now needs a long course of treatment and recovery period for the spine.

Example 2

A patient (51 years of age) came with complaints of rash on the legs and considered himself a primarily healthy man. The screening revealed a number of complex diseases: of the stomach and intestines, the nervous system and the liver. Remember: the skin is the last resort for the body for removing toxins, when all other possibilities have been exhausted. Treating rashes with steroids which have been prescribed by a GP, without realising the internal causes of the disease is not just useless, but also dangerous. You will try to eliminate the symptoms (which are signals by your body asking for help, see the first rule!), where as it is necessary to treat latent health problems.

The third rule. Do you think about what and how you eat? Do you know how nutrition affects your health? This is not about diets! Remember - a diet can cause irreparable harm to your body. Diets provoke insomnia, which can become your life-time companion. You need to know what should be in your regular meals, how often you should eat and at what time, because proper nutrition is the foundation of our health. Special diets are available for people with health conditions. During the times of Soviet Union, sanatoriums offered a wide range of diets in accordance with the diseases of the condition. You need to know what foods help to cope with the disease, and what conversely helps the disease rather than you.

Rule Four. Find out how much water you really need to drink every day to maintain your health.

We consist of approximately 75-80% water, which means that we need a certain amount of water every day to maintain the water balance in our body. You would be surprised to learn about what kinds of diseases people who drink little water obtain. How much water should a healthy person drink, and how should a person drink with certain illnesses? This can only be determined with the results of screenings and is also an important factor in maintaining your health. You need to drink enough water daily and screenings can help determine this individually.

Rule Five. Do not take vitamins and dietary supplements if you are not sure you need them. There is a huge amount of advertising about various vitamin complexes and dietary supplements. Do you think about your health and begin to take them - is it right?

We were created in a way that we should receive all the necessary substances from the food or environment around us, and if we do not have enough of something, you would have to know exactly what and why. If you have a lack of calcium (the cause may be different), disruption could be within the stomach and intestines, thyroid etc… - then take the pills. Taking these supplements would be useless until you have eliminated the disease. If you are allergic to something within the complex, supplements or vitamins, then you apply an even greater harm to the body. Starting to take drugs without knowing the exact needs of your organism is dangerous.

Moreover, taking any drug is only useful if you know the dosage individually for you. Unfortunately, very few clinics have the equipment, which can individually select the drug and its dose. This is the key to actual result.

Rule Six. Keeping your body's biorhythms in order can save your health for many years.

The rhythms of your brain are the rhythms of your life. Certain rhythm figures (the nervous, muscular, cardiovascular, respiratory and digestive systems, as well as endocrine and haematological rhythms) vibrate. Most diseases are due to distortion within rhythms of organs or systems within the body. Disrupted sleep patterns can not only lead to insomnia, but also to serious illness.

Rule seven. Sleep - the basis of health. A few days with a lack of sleep can lead to serious disturbances in the major systems and organs of the body, which is often the cause of obesity. A few days of less than 7 hours of sleep can lead to frequent colds and diseases. Try to sleep at night for at least seven hours (not less), and remember that naps are not a substitute for the night.
